Badwater 135 qualifying races

AdventureCORPS names 35 Preferred Qualifying Races for the Badwater 135. Finishing one is not required — any ultra of 100 continuous miles or longer counts toward the standard — but completing them improves an applicant's chance of being selected.

You don't have to run any of these

Eligibility is set by Badwater's published Qualifying Standards, not by this list. Most applicants qualify by having officially finished at least four ultra running races of 100 continuous miles or longer, with at least one of them run between January 1, 2026 and the day the 2027 application is submitted. Any race meeting that standard counts. The races below are the ones AdventureCORPS names as Preferred Qualifying Races: completing them improves an applicant's chance of selection, and winning one of the Titanium Ticket races earns guaranteed entry.
